  8. Uncheck Load Startup Items.
  9. Move to the Services tab.
  10. Check Hide all Microsoft services.
  11. The above steps will prevent essential Windows services from being disabled.
  12. Click Disable All.
  13. Once you select the Disable All option, it will temporarily turn off all non-Microsoft services.
  14. Scroll through the list of services and ensure that Windows Installer is checked. If it’s not, check the box next to it.
  15. Click OK to save the changes made in the System Configuration window.
  16. When prompted, click Restart.
  17. Reboot your computer with the selected startup options.

Steps to Return to Normal Startup:

  1. After resolving the QuickBooks installation issue, you’ll need to return to normal startup mode.
  2. Again, press the Windows + R keys.
  3. Open the Run command.
  4. Type MSConfig.
  5. Press Enter.
  6. Access System Configuration window.
  7. Go to the General tab.
  8. Select Normal Startup.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Click OK in the System Configuration window.
  11. Restart your computer by clicking Restart when prompted.
